We are seeking a Restaurant Manager for the Julaymba Restaurant at the world-renowned Daintree Ecolodge. Situated in the world’s oldest living rainforest, this ancient and compelling landscape could be your next work environment and home.
At our rainforest restaurant, exceptional customer service and optimum guest satisfaction takes precedence. To be suitable for this role you must have a friendly, professional and unassuming manner with an eye for detail. This role requires the Restaurant Manager to be present on the floor, providing exceptional menu recommendations, wine pairings, cocktail suggestion and adhering to other customer requests in a warm and inviting nature.
We are looking for someone who wants to encourage and support the entire team from kitchen to floor staff and endorse staff morale so that it filters through to our every last detail. To grow your team, you will need valuable wine knowledge, cocktail experience, and people management skills. Coordinating meal service and delivering our cuisine to the table, you must always maintain a confident and knowledgeable manner. We are operating in the heart of a rainforest, we want our customers to feel like their dining experience meets their surroundings with a calming, natural and charming approach.
The other vital part of our tropical dining experience is that all our produce is locally sourced and that sustainability is at the forefront of who we are. If you are passionate about sustainability, fresh produce and have an appetite for this then this role might just be for you. Being able to advise of wine pairings that best complement the local ingredients prepared on the plate in front of you, will be effortless and choreographed with ease.
Our restaurant caters for in house guests but also provides service for the public in addition so your talent will excel outwardly from the predominant lodge clientele. As we prepare to reopen the lodge post seasonal closure, you will assist in reviewing our offerings of food and beverage to better enhance our guest experience. Meeting our guests’ expectations is a must, but to exceed them is the ultimate goal of our Restaurant Manager here at the Daintree Ecolodge.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a consistent Restaurant Management role
